Leon County Boys Soccer Stat Leaders

With Leon County high school soccer teams starting the final stretch of the regular season, Tallahassee Reports is highlighting the top three stat leaders, using MaxPreps stats updated through Jan. 9. The stats will be based on a point system used my MaxPreps which counts goals as two points and assists as one point. Note that not all Leon County teams have updated stats and will not be included the article.

Luke Daunt, Maclay

Maclay Senior Luke Daunt leads the Marauders with 19 points through nine games played with nine goals and one assist. As a big part of Maclay’s 8-1-1 record, Daunt has had multiple notable performances including his best showing against Wakulla (9-5-2) with two goals, one assist and 5 steals. The Marauders’ next test will be against the top ranked team in the nation in Jesuit (12-0-1) on Jan. 9th.

Sal Giove, Chiles

Chiles Junior Sal Giove leads the Timberwolves with 19 points through six games with nine goals and one assist. Helping Chiles get to a record of 7-3-1, Giove had his most notable performance in a 5-0 win over Rickards (8-1-1) where he set his season high of 3 goals in one game. Chiles’ next matchup will be a home game against Maclay on Jan. 12th.

Zach Gazvini, Maclay

Maclay Senior Zach Gazvini has 15 points through nine games with six goals and three assists so far in the regular season. Gazvini has scored one goal in six total games including his most notable performance against Clay (7-4-1), where he had one goal, one assist and six steals.
