@DeepStatePropagandist: You poor thing. I’ll Pray for you. Hey, interested in some Pet Rocks at a good price?
@Earnest P Worrell –
“People have been confusing Greenland and Iceland for centuries.”
Dumb people, maybe.
“BTW, the last territory purchased by the United States was in the early 20th century in 1917, the Virgin Islands.”
OK. In that case, Denmark *wanted to sell the Virgin Islands*. Are you really unable to tell that this is different? Has anyone in Denmark, or Greenland, indicated they welcome all of this?
“Considering you likely believe in global warming, securing the northwest passage by owning Greenland is the strategic play here. ”
Of course I believe in global warming. That being said, just because something is strategic, doesn’t mean we should do it. I’m sure Putin felt it was strategically important to invade Ukraine.
Denmark is (was) an ally. NATO are (were) an ally. Trump is treating them like partners to casually throw aside if they don’t want to play by whatever idea came into his brain. Why should the believe a word Trump says anymore?
“It would actually be in the interests of the Greenlanders, too.”
*THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE UNDER AMERICAN CONTROL* How hard is it for people to understand this?
“But, don’t let awareness of the actual situation, history, and anything beyond your own opinion slow you down.”
LOLOLOL. What’s your take on the ‘actual situation’ on if Denmark wants to sell Greenland? What’s your so clever take on if people in Greenland want to be American? Jesus Christ the doublethink is stupifying.
@Edward Lyle
“But in case you haven’t noticed, President Trump has the Clowns of Davos in his palm. ”
They are literally laughing at him.
People have been confusing Greenland and Iceland for centuries. It’s honestly a minor error. That’s why there’s a popular, yet plainly apocryphal, story about the two nations using their names to confuse Vikings. It’s not like he’s trying to shake hands with invisible people on stage or wondering why magnets get wet or calling himself a jelly donut in German.
BTW, the last territory purchased by the United States was in the early 20th century in 1917, the Virgin Islands. Considering you likely believe in global warming, securing the northwest passage by owning Greenland is the strategic play here. It would actually be in the interests of the Greenlanders, too.
But, don’t let awareness of the actual situation, history, and anything beyond your own opinion slow you down. You do you, tough stuff.
@DeepStatePropagandist: Weak propaganda at best there, skippy. But in case you haven’t noticed, President Trump has the Clowns of Davos in his palm. The US WILL acquire Greenland without ANY Military involvement. Another scare tactic fail by the Communist left and their Media pals… lmao at you simps.
“In the unlikely event there is someone out there who still needs convincing the man is an idiot…”
Why bring Pedo Joe Biden into this?
Just ignore the national news. This a local paper.
@Tally Patriot –
Conservatives: “Free speech! Tech censored us! Wahhhh”
Also conservatives: “Your hate speech isn’t wanted here.”
Get tougher skin, snowflake.
Why not defend Trump’s inability to tell the difference between Iceland and Greenland? Why not defend destroying NATO instead of complaining about how my words hurt your snowflake feelings?
Hey DeepShiittProvo-Go over to the Democrat and spew your liberal hate there. Your hate speech isn’t wanted here.
“President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at the World Economic Forum today in Davos, Switzerland. The summit comes amid ongoing tensions between the US and Europe over Trump’s push to acquire Greenland from Denmark.”
So embarrassing. In the unlikely event there is someone out there who still needs convincing the man is an idiot, he keeps calling it Iceland during his Davos speech. Who is defending this guy shredding our alliances like gas station toilet paper?
