  1. Follow the money trail- it leads to the district offices, overpaid washed up administrators, political appointees, created positions, retirees returning making more money.
planning retreats and overpriced logos. School sites are site based managed not sure why we have so many at the district office folks making well over 100k plus paid phones, take home cars gas cards etc. I hear LCS paid 80k + just to have some lady’s office remodeled at the county office. or million dollar each for turf fields going into this shortfall- where is Ron’s Florida DOGE when you need them.

  2. All the more reason parents should be paying for schools, not everyone. Then they might care where their dollars are going, get vouchers and get out. I dont have kids. Why am I paying for this?

  3. Great information! This is mind blowing regarding hiring more administrators while teachers are leaving for better pay elsewhere. It seems the Board is considering raising our property taxes while “cutting costs”. I would like to get together with some folks, go to the next meeting and we read this article over and over for the allotted 3 minutes to get the point across that the days of spending more as student enrollment declines is over. Cuts and closures are necessary in the budget-NOT RAISING OUR TAXES!

  4. As funding public schools have gone up, it becomes more difficult keep up with education when charter schools and added private schools are take money from public schools those parents who can pay for private schools doesn’t shouldn’t be allowed to take hand out from local government.

  5. Ignore reality and double down on failure and stupid. It’s the LCSB MO. If I’ve said it once I’ve said it 97 times…

Parents, if you care at all about your children and their future, then get them the he!! out of the lunatic left controlled Public Indoctrination System as soon as humanly possible.

  6. Organization Tops / Heads ALWAYS suck out every $ hey can before things close or have to make cuts, as they are saying “we are doing all we can, we are working hard for the students and communities.”

  7. They increase administrators by 28% while the students attending public schools decline by 8%.

I will say it again; the Leon County School board is run by stupid people. And their goal is to make your kid dumber than they are.

If you are sending a child to Leon County public schools, you should be reported to child protective services. The people in charge of educating your children don’t care one wit about any of them. They keep creating more jobs, for more money, and your child gets further behind and more misinformed with each passing day.

The people on our school board think little boys can have a menstrual cycle if they want one… and that is all you need to know.

  8. Keep all the Schools open. Shrink the Number of Elementary & Jr. High Students per Classroom down to 25 Students or less. Hire MORE Teachers. Shrink the number of Administrators by 20% or more. Shrink the Amount paid on each Voucher by 50%.

  9. They do this while they are unable to hire people to assist teachers to meet 504 requirements for special needs students? Really?
