On Saturday, April 11, the Tallahassee Democrat reported that School Board chair Marcus Nicolas has accepted the top job at a media company owned by prominent Tallahassee attorney and lobbyist Sean Pittman. In the report, Nicolas said “his new role does not pose a conflict”. However, TR’s research indicates there are several connections between Sean Pittman operated businesses and the Leon County School Board which raise questions about potential conflicts. Details.

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia pulled in more than $1.2 million in the first quarter as he seeks a full term in the Cabinet office to which he was appointed last year by Gov. Ron DeSantis. Details

Attorney General James Uthmeier raised $1.91 million in the first quarter of 2026, surpassing the $336,000 raised by Democratic challenger José Javier Rodríguez, according to numbers posted by the Division of Elections website. Details
