The latest employment data released by the State of Florida shows that Leon county employment dipped slightly in October after a major increase in September.
The number of people employed in Leon county fell from 144,017 in September to 143,747 in October for a loss of 270 jobs.
The work force also decreased from 151,397 to 150,560 in October.
How does this compare to a year ago?
Last October 145,933 people were employed compared to 143,737 in October 2015.
The workforce in October 2014 was 154,415 compared to 150, 560 in October 2015.
At the state level, Florida employment increased from 9.129 million in September to 9.147 million in October.
AS long as Scott is in office we will continue to see local employment decline. He has no desire to provide the citizens of Florida with better government services. He just wants to support business and run government out of town. It’s not rocket science.
Doubtless, it will dip even further if our esteemed Mayor turns Tallahassee into a “sanctuary city”.
