Recently released job numbers show that the average employment in Leon County for 2018 was 146,651. This level of employment is 1.95% above the average employment of 143,506 reported in 2017.
Reports also show that Leon County’s average unemployment rate for 2018 was 3.3%. This is 10th lowest unemployment rate when compared to Florida’s 67 counties. In 2017, the average unemployment in Leon County was 3.9%.
The 2018 growth rate in jobs of 1.95% ranks 29th when compared to the growth rates of all 67 Florida counties.
Among the 25 Florida counties with over 100,000 workers, the Leon County growth rate of 1.95% is ranked 16th.

The larger conservative counties have better job growth than the larger liberal counties.
No surprise here.
Steve should have colored in each line of the chart as either blue or red to make this more obvious.
Is there a way to filter this information to reflect job growth which are not minimum wage jobs and what that data would reflect regarding where the non-minimum wage job growth is occurring?
Leon County’s average unemployment rate for 2018 was 3.3%. This is 10th lowest unemployment rate when compared to Florida’s 67 counties but our teacher salaries are 48th lowest Rocky Hanna pays his handpicked Assistant Superintendents $100,000 each or more, while teachers are paid 48th lowest. Rocky has more time to implement a “hit list” than he puts in on cutting a bloated micromanaging administrative batch of Assistant Superintendents. When a man (Rocky) avoids/ hides from/refuses to acknowledge/ … his parental responsiblities and does NOT pay child support for 10 years, then gets elected Superintendent, you know he is good at hiding the truth and dirtying up others with knowingly false information.
