Trump Assassination Attempt

Trump Assassination Attempt

Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally Saturday. The 20-year-old suspect was killed by a Secret Service sniper after a bullet pierced the upper part of Trump’s right ear. The attack killed one rally attendee, 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, and left two others critically injured.

Trump was roughly six-and-a-half minutes into his speech in Butler, Pennsylvania, when the gunman opened fire from a nearby warehouse rooftop (see video). Immediately following the attack, Trump was covered by Secret Service agents before being ushered offstage, raising his fist in the air (see photos).

The FBI has not identified a motive for the suspect, a man from nearby Bethel Park. His father had purchased the weapon—a semi-automatic rifle—at least six months before. Explosive materials were later discovered in the suspect’s home and car.

The attack marked the first attempted assassination of a US president since Ronald Reagan in 1981. It also raised questions about security lapses, given the gunman’s ability to scale a rooftop roughly 400 feet from the former president. House leaders have launched their own investigation. See a witness account here. After a temporary hospitalization, Trump has confirmed he will speak at the Republican National Convention beginning today in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 1. I am warmed by remembering our Mayor and Commissioners (including Matlow), taking time out of their busy day in public service to stand in front of City Hall and giving a full throated endorsement of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the 2020 Presidential ticket. I knew that this ticket would not mean hate, threatening rhetoric, violence, and division in America. I feel safe.

  2. While the shooter alone is to blame for pulling the trigger and trying to kill President Trump and killing a rally goer. However it is not surprising that some unhinged person would snap after hearing for years from democrats and the media that Trump is Hitler and an existential threat to democracy. I can’t take Biden seriously when he says the rhetoric has to come down when he has says for years that Trump is the primary threat to US democracy.

  3. A catastrophic failure on the part of the Advance Security Team. I won’t go down the conspiracy theory road, but when entire leadership team of the current admiration suffers with TDS and irrational and unfettered hatred for President Trump, someone is bound to go lax (perhaps unintentional to be certain) at some point. Yet another example of the destruction caused by the DEI mentality.

And with due respect for the Presidency (the office), neither President Biden nor the Media PACs have no standing to call for unity and feign empathy. His administration – and their media and social media PACs – have been targeting President Trump for the better part of a decade. They even massaged what amounts to a clerical error into a federal crime just so they could call him a criminal.

The Democrats and their media PAC’s have unjustifiably labeled President Trump a terrorist, Russian asset, compared him to Hitler, called him evil, and of course… and existential threat to democracy. They have not targeted his governance or policy; they have targeted the man himself… and it was only a matter of time before some unhinged product of the lies and hate-fueled propaganda acted on it.

It was pure divine providence that protected President Trump. May God continue to Bless and Protect him and our Republic.
