Notable Performances at the FHSAA 3A Swimming State Championship

The FHSAA 3A State Championships took place at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST) center located in Ocala, FL on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9. Leon County high schools that qualified were Chiles, Lincoln and Leon.

Chiles Swimmer and Standford University commit Ethan Ekk, continued his dominance in the water with two first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. In these events Ekk recorded times of 1:35.56 and 1:39.02 respectively. He also finished 2nd in the 200-yard medley relay with teammates Crosby Fenniman, Liam Walsh and Taber Granquist.

Lincoln Swimmer Cameron York had a notable performance placing 3rd in the 500-yard freestyle and 4th in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 4:27.90 and 1:39.02 respectively.

Another Chiles swimmer that had a notable performance was Owen Ekk. Ekk placed 1st in the 200-yard IM and 2nd in the 100-yard freestyle. He also finished 2nd in the 400-yard freestyle relay with teammates Liam Walsh, Kipton Fennigan and Ethan Ekk.
