On Nov. 12 FSUHS golfer Peyton Johnson traveled to Howey-In-The-Hills, FL to compete in the FHSAA State Championship. The tournament consisted of two rounds of 18 holes over the course of two days with a field of 95 golfers. Johnson was the only golfer from Tallahassee to take part in the tournament.
Johnson finished the first round 1 over par shooting a 72 with 2 bogeys, 1 birdie and 15 pars. She improved in the second round by shooting a 71 to make her even on the day.
In her second round, Johnson birdied 3 holes, bogeyed three holes and parred the other 12. She finished the tournament in 14th place with a total stroke score of 143 (+1).
Peyton works her heart out on and off the field. Not only is she an up and coming star on the course, she manages to maintain a straight a academic record. She is every family’s dream child.
