Leon County staff has submitted a semiannual status report regarding the curbside waste collection service provided by Waste Pro, Inc. which indicates continued customer service improvement.
Leon County elected officials will receive an overview of the proposed charter review process and consider options and recommendations regarding the establishment of a Citizen Charter Review Committee (CCRC) by November 3, 2025.

Alleging that Gov. Ron DeSantis did not comply with a constitutionally required deadline, an attorney asked the Florida Supreme Court on Friday to direct the governor to appoint a circuit judge in the Tallahassee area.
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s announcement that it will withdraw from an agreement with Mexico controlling tomato imports is being applauded by Florida lawmakers, who say it will allow Florida and other U.S. farmers to catch up to what the agency has labeled “unfairly produced Mexican imports.”

Billionaire Elon Musk said Saturday he has formed a political party, the America Party, to challenge the dominant two-party system in the US. It is not clear who will lead the party, which has not been registered with the Federal Election Commission as of this writing.
