The Republican Party of Florida in September added to its voter-registration edge over the Florida Democratic Party and moved closer to a margin of 1.4 million voters.
The GOP had 5,505,326 “active” registered voters as of Sept. 30, while the Democratic Party had 4,117,871, according to newly posted data on the state Division of Elections website. That 1,387,455-voter advantage was an increase from a 1,355,487 lead as of Aug. 31.
Also, as of Sept. 30, the state had 3,384,837 unaffiliated voters and 443,971 third-party voters. After Democrats historically led in registration, Republicans have steadily built a large lead in recent years. The GOP holds all statewide offices and supermajorities in the Florida House and Senate.

And the Florida House Democrats cannot imagine why. Heck, I doubt the even realize it.
