February Residential Resales Increase 8.5%, Prices Up

Sales of existing single-family homes in Leon county increased 8.5% when compared to numbers sold in the same month one year ago. There were 201 single-family home resales in February 2019 and 218 resales in February 2020. Last month there were 157 existing single-family homes sold.

The average sales price in February 2020 increased 6.72% to $290,483 from $272,117 one year ago.

Annual trends show that single-family home sales increased to an annual rate of 3,317 in February, up from the 3,300 reported last month. The annual rate of sales is 10.1% above the annual rate of 3,014 reported one year ago.

The average price of homes sold over the last twelve months in Leon county was $267,416. This is 1.3% above the $263,877 sales price reported one year ago.

    If you have an RV or camper please be responsible and park it so that it is not seen from the road. Please do not park it in your driveway.

    If you decide to become an RV or camper owner and you don’t park it off site so that it is hidden or at a storage facility that accommodates RVs then please don’t buy one.

    You are bringing down your own property values as well. Please Tallahassee step it up and be classy!
