Weekly Report: Leon COVID Positivity Remains Below 5%, Cases Down Slightly

TR’s weekly report (October 11-October 18) on Leon County COVID cases, hospitalizations, and testing positivity rates is detailed below.

The Leon County 7-day average (yellow-line) of reported COVID cases moved from 58 cases on October 11th to 56 cases on October 18th, a 3.4% decrease.

The Leon County 7-day average (yellow-line) of reported COVID hospitalizations was 42 on October 11th and 42 on October 18th.

Since DOH started reporting COVID hospitalizations on July 10, Leon County reached a new low Sunday with 33.

The Leon County 7-day average (yellow line) COVID positivity rate was 4.06% on October 11th and 4.06% on October 17th.

The positivity rate has been below 5% for 21 consecutive days.

  1. Where are all the hospitalized or dead teachers and students who have returned to in-person classes? Why haven’t the local hospitals been overwhelmed? We need more panic!!! We need more mask mandates!!! We’re all in this together!!! Don’t you care!!!????
