Capital Regional Medical Center Opens Lake Jackson ER

Capital Regional Medical Center expanded to northwest Tallahassee on Oct. 20 when a new $16 million facility opened on North Monroe Street just north of the I-10 interchange.

Lake Jackson ER is Capital Regional’s newest full-service, 24/7 emergency department. Capital Regional also operates a main campus emergency room, Southwood ER and Gadsden ER. According to a press release, opening Lake Jackson ER created approximately 30 new jobs, and the location is expected to see over 12,000 patients per year.

“We are committed to serving our community and providing quality healthcare,” said Alan Keesee, CEO of Capital Regional Medical Center. “Recognizing a need for emergency services in northwest Tallahassee, our team dedicated resources and planning to address that need.”

Keesee said Lake Jackson ER will “increase immediate access to high-quality emergency care to individuals and families in this area.”

According to the press release, Lake Jackson ER includes 12 private patient beds, including a trauma room, as well as laboratory, CT scan, ultrasound and X-ray services. The department offers a full range of adult and pediatric care options from certified healthcare professionals.
