The property was purchased in March 2021 for $1,650,000 by Par II Storage located in Largo, Florida. Based on their website, Par II Storage specializes in building mini-storage units. The company “has built over 64 mini-storage projects and is one of the top mini-storage builders in the Southeast United States.”

An artist rendering of the project – shown above – indicates the building will be four stories. The project was valued at $6.6 million and paid approximately $36,000 in permitting fees. The project is to be completed in June 2022.

Zoning

According to growth management records, the property is zoned as an Activity Center. This zoning category allows for regional sized commercial, major offices, high density residential, light industrial, light infrastructure and community facilities.

The complete description of the zoning designation is given below:

The purpose of this future land use category is primarily to provide for community wide or regional commercial activities located in proximity to multi-family housing and office employment centers. The Activity Center is intended to promote the efficiency of the transportation system by consolidating trips and discouraging unabated sprawl of commercial activities.

Planned, integrated development is required to promote synergy between the different allowable land uses. An integrated pedestrian mobility system designed to provide safe and accessible foot and bike travel between the land uses shall be stressed in granting development approvals.

Access and egress to Activity Centers as well as internal vehicle travel shall be planned in a comprehensive manner in order to facilitate traffic movement.

Allowed uses include up to regional sized commercial, major offices, high density residential (up to 45 units per acre), light industrial, light infrastructure and community facilities.

  1. Looks like the one out West Tennessee Street.
Google returned 19 storage businesses in town already, not including this one and the one the recently-sold Fake Newsocrat is being converted into.

Guess if this fails, it will get turned into a car wash?

  2. What’s funny is, the people renting those Units could have bought a House with 1 extra Bedroom and used it as a Storage Room like I did. The money would be about the same or even less.

  3. How is it even possable for a business to open without being subsidized by our local government like the super secret fast tracked MANGO project?
Could it be a lack of kickbacks to local politicians resulting in no offers from local politicians of this business being subsidized like the super secret fast tracked MANGO project?
Jim Comey’s Weasels with the regional FBI office should not check to see if kickbacks were offered or received in the super secret fast tracked MANGO project since all our local politicians are leftist Democrats deserving of all the graft and corruption they can take from the citizens while in office.
    Thank you.
