Residential Resales Up 47% in May, Average Price $307K

Sales of existing single-family homes in Leon county were up 47.6% when compared to numbers sold in the same month one year ago. There were 229 single-family home resales in May 2020 and 338 resales in May 2021. Last month there were 302 existing single-family homes sold.

The average sales price in May 2021 increased 15.0% to $307,209. Last May the average sales price was $267,189.

Annual trends show that single-family home sales transactions came in at a rate of 3,598 in May, 2021. The May 2021 annual rate of sales is 13.4% above the annual rate of 3,173 reported one year ago. The annual rate of sales last month was 3,268.

The average price of homes sold over the last twelve months in Leon county was $299,654. This is 10.4% above the $271,476 sales price reported one year ago.
