Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump Takes on White Teen’s Case

Attorney Ben Crump, based out of Tallahassee, Fla., and Rev. Al Sharpton announced they are taking up the case of Hunter Brittain, a white teenager killed by police last month in Arkansas.

This is the first case that Crump has handled which involves an alleged white victim of a police action.

Crump emphasized that his mission has always been to “make sure that all our children can get home safely and not be killed by the police who are supposed to protect and defend them.”

However, previously Crump  described his fight against police brutality as the “legalized genocide of colored people.”

Brittain, a 17-year-old, was driving home with a friend around 3:00 a.m. when a Lonoke County sheriff’s deputy pulled him over.

The family claims Brittain’s truck would not shift into park, so he put a “large bright blue plastic bottle” of antifreeze behind a tire to keep the truck from rolling. A 16-year-old, Jordan King who says he witnessed the shooting, said he and Brittain were changing the transmission in his nearby auto shop.

After the blue bottle was placed behind a tire, the deputy opened fire.

Crump and Sharpton were invited to Brittain’s memorial service, where Sharpton gave the eulogy.

“The issue of policing is not about Black and White. It’s about right and wrong,” said Sharpton.

This year, 156 white people and 102 black people have been killed by law enforcement.

Sharpton has previously distanced himself from the progressive wing of the Black Lives Matter movement by criticizing the “abolish the police” crowd.

“To take all policing off is something that I think a latte liberal may go for as they sit around the Hamptons discussing this as some academic problem,” Sharpton said.

Sharpton has also said the riots and looting that took place as a part of last summer’s George Floyd protests were “reckless.”

  1. Ben Crump is black and represents mostly black people, I am white but have no ill feelings towards this man. His law practice simply shows that people hate lawyers until they need one,

  2. They are at least telling a half truth, this isn’t about black and white to them, it’s about the color green.

  3. Wow….these comments just show how divided the world will continue to be. This has nothing to do with black or white but everything to do with right or wrong. The cops should be trained better and I am certain it is not just the because of the way blacks act because whites acts the same and sometimes worse.

  4. A 16 and 17 year old were changing their transmission at 3:00 AM? What could go wrong?

Maybe there should be a curfew for children under the age of 18.

  5. A token case to divert attention from their obvious race-based hustle. Their game is getting old… but quick.

  6. Could it be that, BECAUSE of the Blacks and how THEY act when pulled over that Cops are on Edge all the time, not knowing if a Gun will be pulled on them? Thanks to BC and AS, I am surprised that MORE Cops don’t have their Guns in Hand when they roll up on Black Guys.

  7. This is a glorified ambulance chaser that has never once promoted that youth act respectfully to law enforcement or comply. Never!!

Ben Crump incites violence from coast to coast and has no one’s well-being in mind… only to Prey Upon the system out of greed. This man is a disgrace to his profession and Humanity.

Beware of the clergy and institutions that honor him and promote him do not be fooled.
