Storytime at The Grove Museum

What you’ll get: Join the Grove Museum for the reading of “It Never, Ever Snows in Florida” by Amy Sweezey. Rain or shine, attendees should meet in the museum’s Florida Room at 10:00 a.m. Storytime will be followed by an activity, and we encourage families to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the museum’s grounds following the program. Recommended for children ages 8 and younger.

Sons of Mystro Holiday Show
Date: Thursday, December 9, 2021, begins at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Opperman Music Hall, 114 N. Copeland St.

What you’ll get: Sons of Mystro, Malcolm and Umoja, will bring all the holiday classics to life via violin with a fun reggae twist. This dynamic sibling duo uses violins to blend more than 10 different genres of popular music for a unique instrumental experience. Mentored by genre breaking violin/viola group Black Violin, Sons of Mystro put on a lively show that will have you dancing in your seat.

Victorian Christmas in Thomasville

What you’ll get: The 35th Annual Victorian Christmas will take you back in time to Thomasville’s Victorian past. Stroll the bricks and be entertained by performers, carolers, and musicians. Shop, dine, and welcome the holiday season in Downtown Thomasville! Both nights include live reindeer, carriage rides, visits with St. Nick, marshmallow toasting, chestnut roasting, live entertainment, street performers, delicious food vendors, and so much more.

The Living Christmas Story
Date: Friday through Sunday, December 10, 11, & 12, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Where: Killearn UMC, 2800 Shamrock St.
Cost: Free
What you’ll get: Be transported back over two-thousand years to experience the sights and sounds of Jesus’ birthplace. Killearn UMC is transformed into the little town of Bethlehem, complete with Roman soldiers, the Annunciation, Shepherds tending (live sheep), Angels, King Herod’s Court, Mary, and Joseph at the Inn, and more. Everyone is invited to this free community event. Visitors may drive through in their vehicle or park locally and walk to the hayride waiting area.

Roaring 20s Cocktail Party

What you’ll get: The 2021 Festival of Lights will feature ALL Holiday Magic Nights, December 10 through the 23. Complimentary hot cocoa, popcorn, marshmallows by the bonfire, Santa, Food and Craft Vendors, kids crafts and more! December 24 will be a Silent Night, still beautiful lights but without all the other activities.
