Tallahassee City Commission to Re-Appoints Bobo, Rashad for Police Review Board

The Tallahassee City Commission voted to reappoint two members of the Citizens Police Review Board (CPRB) during their meeting on Wednesday December 8th.

Rosezetta Bobo (Commissioner Porter’s Appointee) and Mujahid Rashad’s (Commissioner Richardson’s Appointee and the Chair) were reappointed to second terms which will expire on December 31, 2024.

Bobo is a court mediator with a bachelor’s and doctorate’s degree from Florida A&M University.

Current CPRB Chair Mujahid Rashad is a chaplain who has a degree in criminology from Florida State University.

The city established the CPRB in September 2020 to foster transparency and enhance communication between the Tallahassee community and the Tallahassee Police Department. The panel consists of citizens who review “completed department internal affairs reports, cases, and issues relating to law enforcement” and “demonstrate police accountability with the public.”

Of the nine members that make up the panel, five members are appointed individually by each city commission member. The commission selects the other four members from applicants nominated by community-based civic or social service organizations.
