Last week the The Tallahassee Police Department reported that an armed robbery occurred at a Killearn Estates Circle K store. TPD’s daily log of incidents indicated the armed robbery took place on November 9th at 10:15 p.m. at the 4800 block of Kerry Forest Parkway. There have been no media reports about the robbery. TR has requested information related to the incident.

The Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency will meet on Tuesday November 15th and will consider options related to traffic patterns at the Stadium Drive and Lake Bradford Road intersection. The agenda is here.

Jefferson County commissioners are calling upon the Second Judicial Circuit State Attorney Jack Campbell to investigate a possible misuse of funds by Kirk Reams, the Clerk of the Courts. The county attorney made the request to Campbell on November 4 through a letter sent on behalf of the county commission.

The Board recently received results from a forensic audit of the circuit clerk’s office and the audit showed that Reams had spent at least $829,000 of taxpayer dollars without board approval Auditors called that finding a best-case scenario, writing “it is possible the unauthorized expenditures were significantly higher than that amount.”

Florida Senator Rick Scott said he is open to taking Mitch McConnell’s job at leading the Senate Republicans, even in the minority. Scott said on Fox News “A lot of people have called me to see if I would run.” He continued by saying he’s not going to rule anything off the table, but the Senate Republicans are focused on getting Herschel Walker elected in the Georgia runoff Senate race. Democrats will be in control of at least 50 seats.

Gas prices across the state rose another 10 cents since last week.According to a Monday release from AAA, the average price of a gallon of gas is now $3.56 cents a gallon. Since the beginning of the month, gas prices have risen as much as 29 cents a gallon, and last week’s high of $3.58 a gallon before dropping 2 cents was the highest average price since Sept. 1.

Pro-life groups in Florida are calling upon Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Legislature to pass additional anti-abortion legislation as the next Florida legislative session is just a few months away. “We have supermajorities now in the Florida Senate and in the Florida House. I mean, if they can’t get something done now, boy, there’s very little hope of them actually ever getting anything done,” said Andrew Shrivell, founder and head of Florida Voice for the Unborn.

Florida State women’s basketball defeated Georgia State 75-70 on Sunday to extend their record to 3-0. Guards Ta’Niya Latson and Taylor O’Brien led the Noles’ scoring attack with 19 points apiece. The Panthers had a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter, but the Noles staved off the Georgia State comeback. FSU will be back on the hardwood Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. when they face the Florida Gators.

Florida A&M football survived a wild ending against Alabama State on Saturday winning 21-14. The Rattlers were up 15-14 when Alabama State lined up for a 53-yard game winning field goal with 2 seconds left in the fourth, but Kendall Bohler broke through the line, blocked the punt, and returned in for a touchdown to end the game. It was the Rattlers’ eighth win in a row and travels to Orlando to take on Bethune-Cookman in the Florida Classic this upcoming Saturday.

  1. It is Christmas Season, expect a lot more Armed Robberies. Put Armed Security in the Stores and tell them to shoot the suspect as soon as they see the Weapon but, just having someone standing close to the counter hold an AR-15 should do the trick.
