Florida News

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that he is vowing to take back more Florida school boards in the 2024 election cycle. A majority of his endorsed candidates won their school board races in the 2022 election cycle primarily seen as a referendum against, what DeSantis has called the indoctrination efforts by left-leaning school boards specifically related to sexuality. However, DeSantis first launched attacks toward school boards after numerous districts fought his efforts to rid school of mask mandates and COVID lockdown policies.

According to a recent report, DeSantis is also considering refusing political donations from major tech companies, should they choose to donate to his second inauguration. DeSantis has repeatedly accused big tech companies like Apple and Google of limiting free speech and censoring conservative voices and causes.

  1. Transparency by the City and County – not much!!!!
Crime is outrageous in 32308, Governor’s Square Mall, Magnolia and Mahan, Capital Circle and Mahan, panhandling On every corner mentioned above. Stabbings at Academy Sports, shooting at Walgreens on corner of Mahan, littering at bus benches, grocery carts up and down Mahan. Each grocery cart worth $600. A Temporary transitional care permit for City Walk was just granted by the City for 64 residents, now low-income affordable housing less than a mile away from City Walk with 66 units planned. They were out trimming the trees yesterday on Mahan in front of the new very-low income housing development. No one knew about the ongoings by the city commissioners or our representative from the county for the very low-income affordable housing on Mahan and Blair Stone until Tallahassee Reports knew about it. This was in the works in February. Thanks Tallahassee Reports for informing all the surrounding neighborhoods on what is going on behind our backs!!!! I wonder if the many different businesses know about these secretive “dealings.”
I do not blame the police for our outrageous crime in 32308. I had a man jump my backyard fence and hold a friend in her bathing suit and bare feet hostage with a knife for 45 minutes demanding drugs.
Knives, guns – it’s the one who possesses the weapon.
City and County motto seems to be, “What you don’t know won’t hurt you.”
Thanks Tallahassee Reports for your informative news.

  2. “In a small ceremony, Leon County recognized two local veterans that were inducted into the 2022 class of the Florida Veteran’s Hall of Fame Society.”

Yet we have two months of TV and cable specials, various parades, and declarations and resolutions from politicians celebrating the psychotic condition scientifically and medically known as Gender Dysphoria.
