Egg prices are hitting records due to an avian-influenza outbreak that has killed tens of millions of chickens and turkeys this year. Retail egg prices have increased more than any other supermarket item in 2022, climbing more than 30% compared to 2021. Some suppliers are projecting potential relief in price by February or March, but cold weather could hamper production in the near term, executives said.

Beefed up lobbying restrictions and breaks for motorists who frequently use toll roads are among state laws and other changes that will arrive with the new year. The laws, passed during this year’s regular legislative session and special sessions, also include making available land-preservation money, allowing local governments to publish legal notices online instead of in newspapers and ending a long-controversial practice in the property-insurance system.

  1. Reading these comments makes one realize the conservative yahoos patron saint must be Karen. A lot of crying and whining. Must be the lack of Trump boat parades has them down. So Sad.

  2. All I can say is… don’t blame me, I didn’t vote for the Dementia Patient and his Marxicrat Sadministration. Now that the midterms are over, just sit back and watch the costs of everything head back up. My advice is to grow your own garden, coup you own chickens, and plant an orange tree.

We’re on our own folks… this country is growing down but fast. And the corrupt and treasonous Uni-Party in DC has no intention of stopping it.

    May God help us all.

  3. If, The Broccoil Family/Owns the James Bond business, is going to destroy the 007 franchize, make the next Bond black. Shaft was good but not great.it is a white male, hetrosexual male role. Don’t F it up

  4. I sure do wish eggs would come down. Fortunately I found a place where its 3.95 a dozen and that’s lower than anywhere in Leon County, No, I ain’t telling you where.

  5. I can help our liberal, progressive, mentally better than thou Tallahassee/Leon voters with their grocery bill. Y’all mostly white and uppity minority folks can take your virtue signaling EV’s and giant SUV’s on down to the southside to shop and save often 50% or more over your trendy Publix – Trader Joe’s – Fresh Foods Whole Foods markets bill on the finest cuts of meat, fresh vegies, and household goods at the Piggly Wiggly just off South Monroe over the hill on the southside. Strange but this oaisis of fine foods at fair prices is located right in the middle of Tallahassee/Leon’s fictional “food desert” yes strange but true.
Now I already know 93% of our liberal, progressive, mentally better than thou Tallahassee/Leon voters wont ever set foot in the southside not even for 50% savings on grocerys and household items. But for any of you adventurous 7% of mostly white and uppity minority folk that are interested – please schedule properly to have your virtue signaling EV’s and giant SUV’s all loaded up and driving home before dark. We most likely wont bother y’all but we dont like y’all.

  6. Rusty,

    Matlow won get over it.

I shop at Publix and specialty grocery stores. It is a fact that a Publix brand was $13.

Thank you for advertising Tropicana as the original owners were dear family friends.

Put that in you pipe of illegal substances and choke on it.

  7. The Washington Generals get the ball today. Watch them reelect Mitch McConnel minority leader and screw up the House leadership vote. 20 years from today, all the illegal immigrants kids will be allowed to vote Democrat.

  8. “I priced orange juice in the grocery store at $13.”

Maybe stop shopping on the Matlow-Porter progressive organic aisle at The Fresh Market. Publix has Tropicana Pure Premium 100% Orange Juice (not from concentrate) 52 oz. bottles for $4.79 (and they’re buy two, get one free through Wednesday).

  9. I priced orange juice in the grocery store at $13. We have a delusional dementia liar treasonous trafficker in chief who botched the Afghanistan withdrawal to such a degree it signaled Putin to invade the Ukraine because it screamed that the US was weak in their National Security whereby starting another war. Any person from the Democratic Party who is not crying foul and screaming for this nutcase leftist lunatic to be removed from office and in prison has no moral compass or a brain.
