FLORIDA NEWS

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced the environmental plans during his second term. He plans to spend $3.5 billion on projects like restoring the Everglades and addressing water-quality problems. “This may be a bigger, more comprehensive executive order than we did four years ago. But I think that’s the right thing to do,” DeSantis said.

Democrat lawmakers have refiled a bill that would require background checks for ammo purchases in Florida. HB 151 is named “Jamie’s Law” named after 14-year-old Jamie Guttenberg, one of 17 people killed in the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland. The proposed law would not apply to private transfers of ammunition if the person giving the ammo “has no reason to believe” the recipient “will use or intends to use the ammunition in a crime or … is prohibited from possessing ammunition under state or federal law.”

Conversely, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson unveiled his legislative priorities including a first-in-the-nation measure to prevent businesses from tracking Floridians’ firearm and ammo purchases. His proposal is the “Florida Arms and Ammo Act” where the bill “tells multi-national progressive financial institutions, and their allies in Washington, that they cannot covertly create a backdoor firearm registry of Floridians — or else.”

  1. @ Pat… their goal is total control of the masses… and remember, you can not truly control the masses until you first disarm them. Our founders knew this day would come, and called it damn near to the year. I thank God that our founders were wise enough to codify our 2nd Amendment. They will do their level best to push this country into a civil war before ‘24. Their hope is to secure Marshall Law, thereby the suspension of habeas corpus, elections, and our Constitution (aka: our God-given rights).

This was their plan all along with President Obama, and Hilary was expected to complete it… but God and informed voters bought us some time with President Trump. Once the Dementia Patient was “installed”, they picked up where they left off. It’s once again up to God and informed voters to save this great Republic.

  2. ref: HB 151 is named “Jamie’s Law”,

I’m sick and tired of government taxing me on everything. My income is taxed. When I spend my income, I am taxed again. Want to go hunting or fishing, I’m taxed. Want to buy a gun, I’m taxed, charged a fee for the background check, then wait around all day for a decision. Enough already.

To propose a background check on ammo purchases is lunacy. There was a time, you could buy dynamite at the hardware store with no questions asked. You could order a firearm and have it shipped to your home without a background check or transfer fee. I took a shotgun to school in 1971/72, left it with my teacher so I could go hunting after class at age 11/12.

This taxing the crap out of us has got to stop. How about the libs do something about their kids that commit these crimes instead of introducing a stupid bill that will never be passed.

In my 63 years on this earth, I have never seen such a group of wimpy sissified people like those that make up the liberal voting bloc.

This generation of college kids, college grads are going to lose this country to being “woke” and “identity politics”. The idiocrasy of transgender, men can get pregnant, and all the other stupid things they believe will one day allow a foreign country to capture this country in a war.

Good luck democrats…you are destroying the greatest country on earth.

  3. @ Skeptic… you mean to tell me I’m not suppose to inhale the gas? No wonder my eggs are always undercooked.

Sandy Cortez also claims we can land a man on the sun… but only if we go at night

  4. You’re both wrong… according to Sandy Cortez and the rest of the Marxicrats… is natural gas stoves that are killing us all.

  5. This ding dang weather is killing us. Hot one day.. cold the next. We got sinus problems so bad we can’t hardly see straight.
