Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also noted during an event in Georgia that he would call a special session to ensure open carry legislation gets ot his desk “if I can get the votes.” The Florida Senate, yesterday, passed permit-less concealed carry and the bill heads to DeSantis’ desk. “In terms of the constitutional carry, I’m for everything,” DeSantis said. “But if they (the Legislature) send me something that is 90% or 80%, I mean, I’m going to take that win and we can come back for more at some time in the future.”

The Florida Senate also approved legislation that would allow death sentences by an 8-4 vote of a jury. The vote was 29-10, with three Democrats — Sens. 1. @ DeepStatePropagandist… Giving credit where and when due, Weed/Hope is spot-on here. As an NPA that leans heavily Conservative, I for one did not agreed with the Citizens United ruling. As always, what is designed with good intent can also lead to bad results. Be careful what you ask for, as it were. That said…

Using ones’ funds to support a cause they believe in is not the problem. The problem comes in to play when the cause they believe in is antithetical to the moral, ethical, cultural, and desired societal structure of our free nation.

Soros is an maniacal Marxist who desires the destruction of our Constitutional Republic. And he uses his resources to help install likeminded minions throughout our government to help effectuate his goal. He also uses those funds to support anarchical organizations like blm and antifa, that prey on the ill-educated and malleable to do his evil bidding.

As for your weak attempt at projecting antisemitism… save it Saul. No one more is more antisemitic – or racist for that matter – than those that compose today’s Marxicrat Party.

  2. DSP

The Soros money makes people do evil things and thinks it is okay such as this New York DA. It causes the country great sorrow.

When you misuse your position in such a way to persecute rather than prosecute and people think that’s okay all one can do is pray for the perpetrators for they know not what they do. Do they not know vengeance is mine saith the Lord? God has a way of making corrections, there is hope… even for you DSP.

  3. ““will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.” ”

I am honestly confused why any conservative would have beef with George Soros. He made money in our capitalist system. He spends that money the way he wants; sometimes in order to help politicians and causes he believes in. Isn’t what what Citizens United was all about, people and corporations being able to use their free speech to fund candidates? Are we really saying that money == speech only when the money funds conservative candidates? Or are we all just a bunch of hypocrites?

What the hell is wrong with a person spending their money to get people elected?

Is it because he’s Jewish? Is that why he gets invoked as sinister so often?

  4. @ A Skeptic = You make them start by taking the course to get their Carry Permit. I don’t want to be some ones collateral Damage because that was the very first time they fired a Gun. When I ran for Office, I wanted MORE public Pistol Ranges built around Leon County (I still do) so people would have a place to practice.

  5. @David — Part of me really wants to support Permit-less Concealed Carry and even Constitutional Carry, but I’m also concerned that there’s an element out there that might be emboldened into dangerous behavior. The normally quiet guy that decided to carry and gets pushed into a position where he uses the weapon. The guy that’s avoiding the gang activity in his neighborhood and decided to carry for his own protection and finds himself on the wrong end of a shootout. There are lots of scenarios where the wrong guy gets hurt because the good guy with the gun doesn’t really have a clue about how to handle it or the situation. Still, I’m inclined to err on the side of the Constitution here.

How do we educate people, such as the screaming first timers, what a firearm really is and how to use it? How do we educate them, and the misguided general public, that an AR15 is just a .22 with a different stock, and that it’s such an ineffective hunting weapon that most states won’t allow you to use it to take game other than squirrels, rabbits, and other varmints?

  6. I’m for real permitless carry as I’m also for permitless speech. Technically we all have a permit – the US Constitution. Everyone that carries a weapon should get training to be proficient in various scenarios. Some people I know that would like to carry have plenty of training and clean backgrounds, but just don’t want to be on a defacto gun registry as they would having a permit.

  7. Steve: Preston just suggested someone get a group of investers together and offer Gannett $20.00 for tdo.com.
Go on my man make ’em an offer. All their properties are for sale.

  8. I am very PRO 2nd. BUT, I am not for Permit-Less Concealed Carry. It scares me that anyone (21 and up) can go buy a Gun and have it on them at the ready and has never fired a Gun before or knows anything about it. When I was taking my Class for my Carry Permit, we shot a 22 Pistol and when these ladies, one in her early 40’s and one in her late 20’s fired the Gun, there first time ever firing a gun, they screamed and almost dropped the Gun it scared them so bad. The instructor said that happens a lot with first timers.

Make them get the Permit so they have some training and just loosen the “Concealed” part a bit. Make it where 65% of the Gun must be Concealed and it is OKAY if an extra Clip is Visible.
