FLORIDA NEWS

The Florida Senate has agreed to defund Enterprise Florida. A part of the negotiations included removing the program from state laws by Oct. 1, while moving some of its functions into the Department of Economic Opportunity. Enterprise Florida is a public-private agency that works to attract businesses to Florida. The defunding of the agency has been a priority of Florida House Speaker Paul Renner.

While in Japan, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was asked about the war in Ukraine and called for an immediate cease-fire. “You don’t want to end up in, like, a Verdun situation, where you just have mass casualties, mass expense, and end up with a stalemate.” he said. “It’s in everybody’s interest to try to get to a place where we can have a cease-fire.” DeSantis also noted the fight was Europe’s fight, not so much America’s concern.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also issued a warning to Twitter CEO Elon Musk to not bring “woke employees” to Florida if he moves Twitter to the Sunshine State. You know, I don’t know, I mean, I know Elon and basically, what I would tell him is like, OK, if you’re going to move Twitter to Florida, are you bringing woke employees to Florida or are you bringing just your people,” he said. “If it’s just his people, then it may be good.”

  1. Mr. Hooker

Not true. Against a well known, beloved person like President Trump you have to assertively argue your case and stand your ground. Running away never won anything in a democracy. DeSantis is cucked and that’s why he will lose.

  2. If Twitter were to relocate to Florida, how much money would that bring to the state? For Lil Napoleron to be anticorporation because of his personal feelings is not just a bad look for a Governor, it honestly hurts Florida.
No investing in “woke” investment plans no matter how great they perform. No “woke” businesses allowed here, no matter how much money they generate for employees and the state. No speaking, reading or writing anyhing thst “woke.” What’s next, no products allowed to be sold in Florida if made by a “woke” company?

  3. Congratulations Gene Sanders, thank you for your continued Service.

Awesome News that The Florida Senate has agreed to defund Enterprise Florida.
