March Airport Traffic Up 3.3%

The latest information from the Tallahassee International Airport shows that March 2023 passenger traffic increased 3.3% when compared to traffic one year ago. The number of passengers was up 6,542 from the 70,865 reported during March 2022 to 73,213 in March 2023.

Relative to 2022, the Passenger Traffic Report shows passenger counts were up 7.6% for American Airlines, the Delta Group was down 6.2% and Silver Airways was up 79.9%.

The graph below shows the annualized number of passengers for the last 37-months. The highlighted numbers on the graph indicate the annual traffic during the month of March over the last four years.

The annual rate of passengers at TIA in March 2023 was 828,182 up 0.30% when compared to the annual rate reported last month and up 11..1% when compared to one year ago. The annualized number of passengers is calculated by summing the previous 12 months of traffic.

  1. What do you expect being that the Tallahassee Airport is run by – the inmates running the asylum – Consortium. This Airport is not on par with other airports as for years they were letting the airport board members and The Usual Suspects PR hacks use Airport space to advertise themselves — for free. The rental car employees are not trained properly and that experience is a nightmare. The coffee shop before you get to the TSA area that is open to the general public is a joke. Federal authorities need to come in and clean this mess up. Where is White Snake when you need him?

  2. Dig deeper on the Airport’s value. Passenger traffic must increase just to offset the increase in operating cost.
