Two minors were arrested in connection to an April shooting that happened along the 3500 block of Roberts Avenue that left one person seriously injured. TPD said that the teens were arrested on April 19 and were taken into custody charged with attempted first-degree murder. The 14-year-old is being charged with attempted first-degree murder, shooting at, within, or into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a minor. The 16-year-old could be facing similar charges.

After former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum was found not guilty of lying to the FBI, members of the jury have come forward and released a statement highlighting division within the jury room. The jurors’ statement indicates the majority favored acquitting Gillum and Lettman-Hicks on all charges. They even noted one member of the jury had their mind made up before the trial began. They were also dismayed at how one juror was able to make posts on social media about the trial and remain on the jury.

  1. And over at the Fake Newsocrat, none other than Alan Dershowitz is arguing that Andrew Guilty should not be tried again.

    Alan, stick to Getting Trump.

And if the jury’s alleged misconduct isn’t reason enough for a change of venue, I don’t know what is.

  2. Putting Gillum’s fate in the hands of a Leon County Judge and Jury “of his peers” is like putting a pedos fate in the hands of Disney execs and employees.

  3. The current City Manager Reese Goad who gets paid $274,000 to run the City poorly would never have been appointed without Scott Maddox who made the motion, Curtis Richardson and Andrew Gillum

  4. If I were a gambling man, I’d bet they all had their minds made up before the trial began. Extremely high profile case. How would they ever find a juror in Leon county who hasn’t been pelted with news on this case? And you were either going to get red team or blue team jury members and that makeup sounds about right for Leon county and my guess of the jury selection process the defendant’s attorneys would favor. I don’t suspect the next trial to be much different.

  5. The Lettman-Hicks / Gillum jurors should count their blessings that the judge did not rule a jury nullification on their verdict. The evidence was overwhelming that Gillum lied to the FBI. Hopefully the prosecution will ask for a change of venue into a county west of Tallahassee. There seems to be two jurors who were honest and wouldn’t cave into the ridiculousness of the 10 others.
