FLORIDA NEWS

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is sending approximately 1,000 personnel from Florida to the Texas border with Mexico to assist with the influx of border crossings. “The impacts of Biden’s Border Crisis are felt by communities across the nation, and the federal government’s abdication of duty undermines the sovereignty of our country and the rule of law,” DeSantis said in a released statement.

Florida’s House Speaker Paul Renner and Senate President Kathleen Passidomo have endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president. “Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to lead the state with his bold vision, dedicated focus, and common-sense solutions to keep Florida free from a radical agenda that, unfortunately, has turned us into a country without border control, law enforcement without funding, an education system without accountability, and an economy without hope for working families trying to earn a living,” said Renner.

Florida Gov. DeSantis has doubled-down on his support for Daniel Penny, the marine who is facing manslaughter charges after an incident on a New York subway. “Vets look out for other vets,” DeSantis said. “What we can’t have in our society is inmates running the asylum. And what you saw on the subway was, you saw a guy that was very dangerous. He was putting people in harm’s way. He was boasting that he may do harm.”

  1. If by “dedicated focus” Renner means DeSantis flying all over the country in self-serving promotion of his book while home insurers bleed us dry (while they donate millions to DeSantis and the GOP), then and only then would Renner be right.

And its not okay to be judge, jury and executioner; Penny was in the wrong to choke the man for 15 min until he died.

  2. @ Edward:
    How will it work?
I assume Jennett Nuenez will move into The Mansion. Who then will take Ms Nuenez’ place, the President of The Senate, The Speaker of The House, or will we hold an election?

  3. @ vicious fish… Although I’ll miss him as our Governor, he’ll make a great President. I think a Ron DeSantis/Tim Scott ticket would take it in a landslide.

  4. “Inmates running the asylum,” where have we heard that before? City Hall operates as Bundled Contributions Multiple Corporations Kickback Enterprise, LLC.
