According to filings with Leon County and the City of Tallahassee, the number of single-family new construction permits was down 46.7% in August 2024 when compared to August 2023. Get the details.

A federal appeals court next month will hear arguments in the National Rifle Association’s constitutional challenge to a Florida law that prevents people under age 21 from purchasing rifles and other long guns.

U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber has sentenced Mitchell Wilson (35, Tampa) to 20 years and 8 months in federal prison for possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

Officials yesterday charged a 58-year-old mansuspected of the second attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump—with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. The charges are preliminary, and the case will require a grand jury indictment before it can proceed. 

TikTok argued in a federal appeals court yesterday against a US government law forcing it to separate from China-based parent company ByteDance by Jan. 19 or face a federal ban.

    Loved it!
    This sleepy little town needs to wake up / grow up and kick out these dishonest politicians.
    Tallahassee citizens have been deceived and lied to for so long that they have become complacent, indifferent, apathetic, and unconcerned.
    That attitude has allowed the progressive and intimidating elected officials to gain control.
    Keep preaching the truth, brother.
