The Tallahassee City Commission met Wednesday afternoon a day after progressives lost their bid to take majority control of the commission against a national backdrop of losses for Democratic candidates.
City voters approved all five of the city charter amendments placed on the ballot by the Tallahassee city commission.
Tuesday night was a good night for incumbents in local government. In the only city race, Tallahassee City Commissioner Curtis Richardson defeated Dot Inman-Johnson by approximately 1,200 votes in what was likely Richardson’s last campaign. The win means there will be no change in the make-up of the city commission this election cycle.

Totally agree with common sense. The raise makes me sick. As does the 3-2. Sad.
So, once again it looks like nothing will change at City Hall. The usual 3-2 votes will continue for at least the next two years. Voters must be very happy and pleased with how things are going in Tallahassee. After all, they gave the commissioners a 100% raise.
Also, in Leon County, no changes were made to the county commission, So, the county voters must be very happy and pleased too.
