Tallahassee’s two major hospitals recently received grades in the Hospital Safety Grade report released by The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization reporting on quality, safety and transparency in the U.S. health system. 

In a powerful effort to educate and empower their peers, Maclay School juniors Claire Smith and Blair Bayliss organized a sexual assault awareness panel on April 24, drawing a packed audience of upper school students and faculty.

FLORIDA NEWS

Legislative budget talks blew up Friday, as the House, the Senate and Gov. Ron DeSantis tangle over tax cuts.

In the survey of 1,200 Floridians taken in April for the James Madison Institute, 46% said they support eliminating property taxes while 32% supported reducing sales taxes. Another 12% said they preferred keeping things status quo.

  1. HCA actually TRAINS STAFF for the Leapfrog group Hospital Safety grade. It doesn’t happen spontaneously, so the grade may very well not reflect the reality at HCA Capital. I actually participated in the training sessions.
