TPD Reports on Attempted Homicide

TPD recently provided a synopsis of an attempted homicide incident. The synopsis is provided below.

2025-00194139 / Attempted Homicide / 4000 block of Catawba Street / 10:52 PM (Nov. 10)

The victim and suspect became involved in an argument, during which the suspect shot the victim in the head with a handgun. The suspect subsequently called 911 and was detained upon officers’ arrival. The bullet did not penetrate the victim’s skull, and he remained conscious and alert. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non–life-threatening injuries. Probable cause was established for attempted homicide. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.
