Top Girls Leon County Cross Country Runners for the 2025-2026 Season

With the high school cross country season coming to an end, Tallahassee Reports has ranked the top Leon County runners for the 2025-2026 season. Listed below are the girls runners ranked based on performances at notable meets.

1. Emma-Claire Tanenbaum, Chiles

Emma-Claire Tanenbaum (Fr.) comes in at the top spot of our Leon County Cross Country Rankings helping the Timberwolves win a state championship as their leading runner for the 2025-2026 season. Tanenbaum had two first place finishes at meets including the FHSAA 3A Region 1 meet and the FHSAA 3A District 1 meet. While competing at regionals at New World Golf in Jacksonville, FL, Tanenbaum set a personal record placing first with a time of 18:23.13. At the state championships, Tanenbaum was the first Timberwolf to cross the finish line while also placing 5th overall with a time of 18.33.70.

2. Kaia Ables, Chiles

Kaia Ables (Jr.) ranks second in our Leon County rankings coming off of a very successful season with multiple notable finishes. Those finishes included a first-place finish at the St. JPII Panther Invite and a fifth-place finish at HOKA Nights of Thunder. Ables set a personal record at the FSU Invitational placing 41st with a time of 18:52.30. At the state championships, Ables placed 21st with a time of 19.23:80, helping her team bring a state title back to Tallahassee.

3. Charlotte Sikes, Chiles

Charlotte Sikes (Fr.) ranks third in our Leon County Rankings after placing top 10 in four different meets for the 2025-2026 season. Of those finishes, Sikes’ most notable were her third and sixth place finishes at the St. JPII Panther Invite and HOKA Nights of Thunder, respectively. Sikes set a personal record at the Asics Invitational while placing 61st with a time of 19:02.13. At the state championships, Sikes placed 34th with a time of 19:44.80 contributing towards the state title win.

4. Chloe Molen, Chiles

Chloe Molen (So.) ranks fourth in our Leon County Rankings as the fourth Timberwolf to make the list. Two of Molens notable finishes for the 2025-2026 season included her fourth-place finish at the FHSAA 3A District 1 meet and her fifth-place finish at the St. JPII Panther Invite. Molen set a personal record at the FSU Invitational placing 61st with a time of 19:08.50. A at the state championships, Molen placed 42nd with a time of 19:56.30.

5. Madeline Brockmeier, Chiles

Madeline Brockmeier (So.) finishes our Leon County Rankings for the 2025-2026 season coming in ranked fifth. Brockmeier had notable finishes including a sixth-place finish at the St. JPII Panther Invite and a seventh-place finish at the FHSAA 3A District 1 meet. Brockmeier set a personal record at the New World Fall Spectacular placing 86th with a time of 19:35.00. At the state championships Brockmeier placed 31st with a time of 19:40.20, contributing to the state title win.
