Neal Dunn Retiring from Congress

Neal Dunn has decided to retire from Congress. In a statement posted to social media, Dunn says he has decided against seeking re-election in this year’s midterms.

“After much prayerful consideration and discussion with my family, I have decided not to seek re-election to the United States House of Representatives. This will conclude my service after five meaningful terms representing the people of Florida’s Second Congressional District,” Dunn wrote.

“The time has come to pass the torch to new conservative leaders, return home to Panama City, and spend more precious time with my family and our beloved grandchildren.”

Dunn, who resides in Panama City, was first elected in 2016. His current term ends on January 3, 2027.

  1. @ DSP,

I see you have made progress on developing a platform.

Will you be changing your donkey mascot to a Rat or Trump?

  2. @ DeepStatePropagandist: “Republican rats be jumping off the toxic Trump ship. More to come.”

Seriously? The DemocRATS couldn’t poor water out of a boot even if the directions were on the bottom of the heal. The party’s approval rating is in the tank, even among registered Democrats. You guys can’t even decide whether your Democrats, Socialists, or Communists. And Democrats are so afraid of the lunatics within the Party and their social media tweets that the geriatrics among them are looking like complete fools trying to dance, sing, and drop “F” bombs in a weak attempt to sound cool.

Take another hit, grab a bag of Doritos, and surf the black web for a while.

  3. Who?

He’s been my congressman for twenty years and I never once saw him on television speaking about anything; I heard him on Preston the one time he decided to get off the back bench and he had nothing to say. I know more about what Louisiana, Texas, and South Carolina congressman are doing.

Good riddance as far as I’m concerned.
