Tallahassee Board of Realtors Announces Local Endorsements

On July 26, the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® (TBR) announced its recommendations for candidates in a number of local races. TBR’s endorsement also comes with financial support from Political Action Committee funds.

Every election cycle, TBR invites all candidates for local elections to attend interviews to determine which candidates TBR will recommend.

Will Shepherd, TBR President, said “REALTORS® work daily to promote and protect strong communities, and we support local candidates dedicated to improving the quality of life here in Tallahassee and Leon County.”

Lee Snowden, chairman of TBR’s Governmental Affairs Committee, and more than 15 volunteers questioned the candidates on a range of local issues.

“It’s important that our members understand the candidates’ positions on matters affecting our community, including private property rights, economic development, education, safety, and infrastructure, and that they exercise their right to vote,” Snowden said.

The endorsements are listed below:

  • Jasmine Ali-Mohammed, Leon County Commission, District 1
  • Emily Fritz, Leon County Commission, District 3
  • Alva Striplin, Leon County School Board, District 1
  • Darryl Jones, Leon County School Board, District 3
  • Marcus Nicolas, Leon County School Board, District 5
  • Jeremy Matlow, Tallahassee City Commission, Seat 3
  • Robert Lotane,  Tallahassee City Commission, Seat 5
  • John Dailey, City of Tallahassee Mayor

  1. Who cares who TBR endorses?
You may want to contact these people if you want to buy or sell a house.
However their involvement by endorsing leftist candidates makes me question their judgrment in all aspects of life. That includes the buying and selling of real estate BTW.

  2. The TBR endorsement of John Dailey is an Insider endorsement and irresponsible. Dailey had a chance to show leadership skills in correcting problems at the CDA. He did nothing! He was too much of an Insider to want to rattle the cage amongst the good old boys. The consequences were dire and a deputy sheriff lost his life because of mismanagement and no one doing anything about it because the good old boys were too comfortable. This mentality and modus operandi have to stop. Michelle R Vasilinda is not an Insider and intelligent enough to know that you don’t put the good old boy system before Public Safety. Every business that has a John Dailey sign in front of it should take it down and replace it with a Vasilinda sign.

It is time voters put the public safety needs of their children Neighbors and Humanity first instead of the Good Ol Boy system.

  3. It is my understanding that you only get TBR and NEBA endorsements if approved by a Mr. Thomas. Who is this guy and why does he have such clout?
