  1. So according to your numbers, even with a lockdown our numbers are higher than in a country with no lockdown. It sounds to me that the numbers would have been higher here without the lockdown, and that in fact a large number of us in the US cannot be trusted to act like adults compared to our Swedish neighbors.

The question we should be asking isn’t do lockdowns work; it should be what can we do to get buy-in from fellow Americans to convince them to take this more seriously.

  2. Statistics dated yesterday, Nov 20, show that Sweden is 20th in list of nations with deaths per million from Covid-19. The US is 12th. US deaths per million 766. Sweden deaths per million 616. Latest deaths on last day reported day, US 24, Sweden 17.
The US locked down and cost millions of the poorest in the nation their livelihoods and has more deaths per million over all and daily. Sweden did not lockdown, trusted their citizens to act like adults and saved millions of jobs.
So, think about it without input from spun news services and using trusted facts! Do lock downs work? Like they say, the proof is in the pudding! (not the Washington Compost!
