On Tuesday, the Leon County School Board is scheduled to consider changes to a number of policies due to recently enacted laws by the Florida Legislature. None of the proposed changes were initiated by LCS officials. One of the policies being amended is related to Religious/Patriotic Ceremonies and Observances. See the proposed changes.

FLORIDA NEWS

Florida Democrat Party Chairman Manny Diaz is resigning from his current position. Diaz said that he regrets stepping down but that he will continue to work to get Democrats elected in Florida. His resignation after the Florida Democrat Party faced one of the worst beatings they have faced in recent memory losing every statewide election and Republicans gaining a supermajority in both chambers of the Florida Legislature.

One Florida lawmaker is prioritizing legislation that would advance efforts to move Floridians away from septic systems and onto sewer systems. State Sen. Jason Brodeur chairs the Senate Agriculture, Environment and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee and said that they will be looking into the nutrient runoff that is affecting Florida’s waterways.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has selected anti-CRT activist Christopher Rufo to the Board of Trustees at New College of Florida. Rufo accelerated in popularity in recent years for his work highlighting CRT’s implementation across major institutions in the United States. “My ambition is to help the new board majority transform New College into a classical liberal arts institution,” Rufo said. “We are recapturing higher education.”

  1. Thankfully the Governor and Republicans are going to pass Constitutional Carry so EVERYONE will be packing heat. No background checks no license required!

  2. Today’s Leon County Today tv show illustrated how clueless the Leon County Sheriff’s office is. The Sheriff and his detective have two suggestions: at 9pm go lock your car and get their App. Their $759 milion dollar budget has allowed them to determine the majority of crime is on the southside and car key fob batteries go dead. IMO, the law enforcement management team needs replaced. Soft on crime is their playbook.

  3. I’ve been on every continent (even Antarctica) and I’ve worked in almost every state in the Union. Its my opinion that in Tallahassee, you can shoot anyone you want, run as many red lights as you want, drive like a wild Indian with no tag or registration all you want, with very little risk of retribution from anyone outside of a rival gang…

Tallahassee has turned into the wild west, you still wanna defund the popo? haha

  4. “we have to have our community say enough’s enough,” said Chief Revell.” ………… We NEED to have our DA, ADA’s and Judges say enough’s enough and start charging the Shooters the MAX and give them LIFE in Prison. Maybe THEN they will start leaving their Guns at home. It is past time for Sentencing Reform and giving Criminals longer Sentences.

  5. Can’t wait for the $5-million boondoggle to kick in.

Welcome to Tallahassee… where you’ll have the best shot at… um… getting shot

  6. Chief Revell what ever you are doing isn’t working. Someone in Tallahassee, on average, was shot every 3 days in 2022. Pee or get off the pot. Fix the problem or let someone else try.
