New heights are being reached a project that’s transforming part of Tallahassee’s South Side. It’s called SoMo Walls. This new development has been in the works since ground first broke here in April of last year. ABC 27 got a one-on-one tour of the inside of the walls.

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently conducting a homicide investigation following a shooting. Just before 7 p.m., on Thursday an adult male victim reported he had been shot and drove himself to the area of Capital Circle Southeast and Midyette Road where he crashed his vehicle.

A student at Riley Elementary was found to be in possession of a BB gun Wednesday afternoon. The Tallahassee Police Department said there was no threat to the school, and officers responding to the incident just after 3:15 p.m. made no arrests. It is unclear exactly when the BB gun was located or how many students were on campus.

Tallahassee Police recently  held a memorial service to honor men and women who fell during the line of duty. The memorial remembered 15 officers who lost their lives dating back to 1988. Notably, one of the officers remembered was Christopher Fariello who lost his life last year in an incident in Tallahassee.

FLORIDA NEWS

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis doubled down on his battle with Disney saying that going after Disney’s “special privileges” are not an attack on the “free market.” “What is a free market? Does an absence of government necessarily mean free market? I would say, sometimes, absence of government could just devolve into corporatism, and I think too many people on the Right have basically been corporatists over the years,” DeSantis said.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has received a total of 99 presidential endorsements from Florida State lawmakers. DeSantis also received endorsements from 51 New Hampshire and 37 Iowa state legislators. The endorsements have come as it has been rumored that DeSantis will announce his presidential candidacy next week.

  1. Well stated, Pat.

I have already implemented all your suggestions listed in your second paragraph.

The City is proposing to raise taxes on property owners even though taxes will go up anyway because our appraisals will be Increased.

I propose that all property owners in the 32308, 32309, and 32312 zip codes form a separate Residential District with our property taxes.

We could call it Buckhead, or maybe Bradfordville.

Just another day in the Tallahassee area. What you need to do is: stay out of the 32304, vote for candidates that actually will get tough on crime, buy a gun and learn to use it, buy Concealed Carry Insurance to protect your wealth when a liberal prosecutor decides to charge you with manslaughter for shooting a stranger that broke into your home and take your kids to church.

Crime Pays. It pays very well. Politicians are getting wealthy, in our community, for taking your money and buying into fake programs directed at reducing crime. Do you actually believe Royle King could land a career paying almost $90K/plus perks a year if not for his Men and Boys Club? Shootings are more frequent. Did you see the idiotic meeting our local officials held yesterday (or the day before) to reduce crime? It was worse than those mandatory HR briefings you are forced to attend at work. We suffer because Identity Politics rules the day.

Gillum got his charges dropped the same way most other black defendants get their charges dropped. The defense attorneys stack the jury with black folks that have family members in prison. Activist Jurors. Play the race-card. And the uneducated black juror votes to acquit black defendants.

It is going to get worse before it gets better if it every does. The last thing I want is a park near my home that will draw in under-privileged youth into my community…more less spend $22 million to build it.

if you want Disney teaching your children about homosexuality and the transgendered movement, do it in the privacy of your own home. I do not want them teaching any child about the demented, satanic, movement they want to promote as normal. And I certainly do not think we benefit from 2,000 liberal Californians moving into our state.
