A man is under arrest for a series of shoplifting cases at home improvement stores around Tallahassee over the last two months. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says businesses reported four incidents where a male suspect made off with high-value equipment. Stolen items included chainsaws, weed eaters, and ceiling fans.

Florida has overtaken New York to hold the second most valuable housing market in the United States, according to a study published this week by Zillow. Per the most recent housing market assessment, Florida’s total market value has ballooned to $3.8 trillion, trailing only California, and can largely be attributed to population growth and increased housing demand within the state.

On Monday, TSG Advisors purchased Westcott Station, the four-story, 30,000-square-foot building on the corner of Monroe Street and College Avenue that houses the landmark breakfast deli Goodies Eatery and about a dozen governmental affairs tenants.
