KHA to Address Sale of Killearn Property, Northeast Gateway at Tuesday Meeting

The Killearn Homeowners Association (KHA) will address two controversial issues at their next Board meeting.

The recently released agenda for the March meeting, under “New Business”, includes references to the “Proposed Northeast Gateway” and “Sale of Killearn Property.”

TR recent published an article about a public meeting scheduled by the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency on Monday, March 11, to address the Northeast Gateway. The proposed road will impact traffic on Shamrock Street.

Also, as part of an ongoing discussion on the future of the Killearn Country Club, it has been reported that the KHA has received an offer from a commercial real estate company to purchase vacant land near the Thomasville entrance to Killearn Estates.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at 6:30 pm at the KHA board room located at 2705 Killearny Way.

  1. Can someone who was there give an update? I was unable to get into the building due to the crowd. I am sure I wasn’t the only one.

  2. Remember the good old days when The KHA Board spent thousands in legal fees trying to get a Billboard taken down that they said interfered with the natural beauty of Killearn even though it was not impacting the neighborhood at all?..Now they are considering selling property at the actual front entrance for Tallahassee’s 73rd Car Wash and 212th Mexican Restaurant..SMH..Oh my How times have changed!!

    1. Just Great!
These HOA geniuses are gonna get just enough to pay that $33,000. golf cart past due bill, a $1.5 Million kick-back to J. T. Burnett, and maybe enough for a hot dog/burger BBQ for you poor saps who own homes.
But wait…there’s more…homeowners and their kiddies will soon be looking at the sexy stuff in the big window of the new XXX Mart adult store where your former senic and stately grand enterence used to welcome you home.
      Enjoy!
