Kaylin Johnson of Chiles High School, Ally Doughty of Chiles High School and Lauren Taylor Lozano of Lincoln High School have been named TR’s Leon County High School Volleyball Players of the Week for week six of the season, ending September 30.
All three winners this week are repeat winners.
The awards are based on an analysis of statistics provided to MaxPreps – the official scores and statistics provider for the Florida High School Athletic Association.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kaylin Johnson – a junior outside hitter for Florida High – finished the week with 29 kills and 3 hitting errors in 2 matches. Her effort translated into a hitting percentage of 59.1% . Her hitting percentage during the week was above her season hitting average of 28.7%.
In Chiles’ 4-set victory over Lincoln High School, Johnson had 16 kills and a hitting percentage of 50.0%.
Defensive Player of the Week
Ally Doughty – a libero with Chiles High School – recorded 53 digs for the week in 2 matches, averaging 7.6 digs per set.
A dig is awarded when a defensive player successfully passes a ball that has been determined to be an attack attempt by the opponent.
In addition, Doughty fielded 27 serves with 2 return errors during the week for a 93.0% service return rate.
The average service return percentage for a good team ranges between 85% and 90%.
Server of the Week
Lauren Taylor Lozano – a junior libero with Lincoln High School – finished the week with 43 service attempts in 3 matches and zero errors, a perfect 100.0% serving percentage.
Lozano added 3 aces during the week.

The Server of the Week is based on serving percentage, aces and points scored on service attempts.
To qualify for Player of the Week, a players teams statistics from games that were completed during the week, Saturday-Friday, must be available on MaxPreps by the following Sunday at 6pm.
