A grand jury has found the officers involved in the shooting from back in October at Halftime Liquors were justified and cleared of any wrongdoing. The suspect who killed the man was charged with murder but was found guilty on lesser charges of attempted manslaughter.

The Florida Department of Education announced they are investigating Leon County Schools Superintendent Rocky Hanna. The DOE said they are investigating to what degree his personal views have impacted his job. Hanna stated that he believed the complaint to DOE stemmed from a parent associated with the group Moms for Liberty. He continued by saying “There is absolutely no merit to this case whatsoever.” Leon County Schools was one of multiple Florida school districts to have repeatedly opposed efforts of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to implement mask mandate bans back during the COVID pandemic, and the district also fought a lawsuit from local parents over LGBT policies.

In response to the investigation into Superintendent Rocky Hanna by the Florida Department of Education, Leon County School Board member Alva Swafford Smith released a statement. Also, review the E-mail which prompted the DOE investigation.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis interviewed with conservative commentator Charlie Kirk where he said it is time for new leadership at the Republican National Committee and that they should move headquarters out of Washington D.C. “We need some fresh thinking,” DeSantis said. “And here’s the thing — just practically speaking, you need grassroots Republicans to power this organization with volunteering and donations.”

The State of Florida has sued the U.S. Department of Homeland Security over the Biden administration hoping it will reduce irregular migration from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela and Nicaragua, arguing that it is a violation of federal immigration law and an overreach of executive power.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio suggested that President Joe Biden brought classified documents home starting when Biden served in the Senate. “I think the Biden connection one is more concerning (than similar Republican issues involving Donald Trump and Mike Pence). … We’re talking about eight years of vice presidential service. And the one that’s really bizarre, is documents going back to the Senate,” Rubio said.

  3. @David — The staff got the initials correct, but I consider it just a typo from the “F…ing A..H…” that they intended.

  4. What goes around comes around Rocky. I hope Jackie Pons fired up a Churchill with a nice single malt Scotch when he heard the news…

Rocky Hannah is more garrulous, and unctuous than the worst old woman you have ever been offended by.

  5. Are we going to ignore the dozen arrested yesterday (1-26-2023), in Leon County, on charges ranging from arm burglary to murder? If we can surpress/ignore the fact that African Americans are committing the vast majority of crime in Leon County it makes it easier to crucify the cops that protecting out neighborhood. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
