Tallahassee Hit by Two Shootings, Two Deaths in Less than 12 Hours

In a span of less than 12 hours, two separate shooting incidents in Tallahassee on Thursday evening and Friday night has resulted in two deaths. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) are investigating the unrelated shootings. The first shooting happened Thursday, January 6, 2022, around 5 p.m. at Circle K near the intersection of Bannerman and Thomasville Road.

unsealed at 1 pm. Caputo reports that the exact charges are unclear and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida would neither confirm nor deny details about the criminal case against Gillum.

State campaign records show that a progressive group based in California -led by former Bernie Sanders campaign employees – is financing the efforts of campaign consultant Max Herrle who is helping the Adner Marcelin Tallahassee City Commission.

Herrle is a former local lobbyist who has close ties with City Commissioner Jack Porter and Jeremy Matlow. Tallahassee Report recently published a story documenting how City Commissioners Jeremy Matlow and Jack Porter are working to defeat their colleague, City Commissioner Dianne Williams-Cox.
